I am sitting on the edge of feeling terribly sad, but I don’t know if you want me to.

Sad about their divorce? That's, I think, to be expected at this point, at least to some degree, and it's really useful feedback! Your feelings are valid!!!

Or are you sad about Nico? Also valid

You just give it away, didn't you?! :)

I just meant that Nico was sad! You being sad that Nico is sad! No spoilers here!

For Beltran, Vessa, and everyone in the household. Even accepting the differences between “to love” and “being in love,” it’s just sad to me—it hits way too close to home.

The staff (and Nico, if you like) are like the kids, watching powerless as their parents separate—they love both, want them to be happy, and understand happiness as the couple being together.

And even if the parents say it’s amicable, my experience teaches me that that is hard to believe.

I’m sure you are holding back something, something that will make me rethink everything / realize Beltran and Vessa’s truth, but right now I’m feeling a divorce where people are hiding their feelings or not being honest with themselves about them.

I give nothing!!!! 🤣 Clearly! No, for real, I'm very curious how you will continue to feel as it progresses. I think there are specific emotional payoffs that build through this first act (1-9), but I honestly am not sure how they land, and it's a journey.

Well, I’m more than happy to document what lands along the way. The narcissists that we are crave knowing if people have the reactions we hope for.

Oh 100%, the narcissist in me would be much obliged

Oh gosh, real life parallels 😬 So glad you're enjoying it!

Nico and Petra are two of those characters who just kind of snuck up on me. I think they're the most honest and openly feeling characters. Sort of reader inserts, if you will.
