Very exciting, very interesting update: I changed the powdery mildew mentioned in Chapter 10 to a more general “rot.”
Powdery mildew originated in North America and was introduced into Europe in the 19th century.
The setting and time period of The Thing Itself are invented, but immersion matters. In case a viticulture expert ever reads this, I would rather change to “rot” than break it.
